Chorizo Flambé

Here is a simple recipe that will wow your guests. Chorizo is a cured sausage that can be found throughout Europe, In Portuguese and Spanish cultures, chorizo is a pork sausage that is smoked using dried smoked red peppers which gives it the spiciness and the deep red color. This recipe adds a higher dimension to the sausage and will extract all the flavors with the addition of brandy. The sweetness of the brandy compliments well with the spiciness of the chorizo. The recipe is only three ingredients and five steps. Put on a show and make this in front of your guests. People love to watch food being Flambéed. They will be amazed.


  • 1 Lb. Chorizo
  • 1/2 Cup Brandy
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil


  • Slice the chorizo approximately 1/8″ think
  • Heat a skillet with the olive oil
  • Add the chorizo and grill both sides
  • Add the bandy and ignite it
  • Caramelize the chorizo while reducing the brandy
  • Serve
